Delicious Millets (Bajara) Tikki | Millets Recipe


  • Freshly ground millet flour (stored flour turns bitter in taste)- 200 grams
  • Jaggery- 100 grams
  • White Sesame- 50 grams
  • Coconut powder- 25 grams
  • Cardamom- 5 nos
  • Water- 1 cup
  • Oil or Ghee to fry


Dissolve jaggery in hot water. Sieve the millet and mix it. Add cardamom powder, coconut powder, white sesame seeds, and two tablespoons of oil to it. Knead the dough with a jaggery mixture. Now make small balls out of it and press them with the palms to make a tikkis shape.

Heat oil in a pan. Put the tikkis on low flame. Can be done from both sides. If you increase the flame, then the cakes will remain raw from the inside.

Remove the pan on the kitchen napkin, so that the excess oil is removed. Delicious and nutritious Bajra cakes are ready. It won’t be bad for several days. Use a glass jar to store it so that the taste and quality are retained.
